Here’s how long homes are taking to sell now in southern Ontario

In southern Ontario, homes are taking longer to sell across all property types. Condos face the longest sales times, averaging 36 days, up from 32 days last year. Single-family homes also see increased days on market: semi-detached homes rose from 18 to 20 days, detached homes from 23 to 25 days, and townhouses from 23 to 24 days. Townhouses remain popular among downsizers and first-time buyers, with median prices around $900,000, while detached homes average about $1.2 million. Sales pace has slowed significantly since early 2022.
